West End is a city on the western shore of Tysan, roughly in the middle of the kingdom (about ten leagues north of the West Gate on the River Melor). It is described as a typical post-Mistwraith human town: a seaport gone into decline, with defenses "crumbled and ancient, except for a span of recently renovated embrasures which faced the landward side". The land is surrounded by sheep fields and farmlands. The road leading out of town is paved with slate and crosses the River Melor bridge.
- The drifters of Pasyvier are allowed into town every fall to sell horses at the autumn fair.
- The mayor of the town holds court in the hall of judgement.

Curse of the Mistwraith
Third Age 5637: After the half brothers arrive on Paravia through the West Gate, Asandir and Dakar come to this town to procure horses. The half brothers enter the town against orders when Dakar fails to return, and their accents make the townsfolk believe they are one of the drifters.
Ships of Merior
Third Age 5644: When Lysaer requests authority to raise Avenor from ruin, it's stated that the trade guilds of West End have nothing to lose by going along with the idea -- either Lysaer succeeds and the old trade roads reconnect West End to the cities in Korias, or he fails to the ridicule of the townborn.
