The telir is a sweet, cherry-like, purple fruit grown by the Paravians. It can be fermented into telir brandy, which goes down without burning the throat, and results in a warm glow "like a bonfire in the belly". Following the Mistwraith's conquest, telir trees stopped bearing fruit, so any remaining samples of the telir brandy are several centuries old. Dakar often longs for telir brandy.
