Tanuin

Tanuin was a clansman from Selkwood in Shand. He was the father of Glendien.

Role in the Story

Third Age 5671: When Arithon meets Glendien, he realizes that she had a father who died in the Vastmark campaign, having experienced the death in Kewar Tunnel. Tanuin held a mountain notch against twenty archers, allowing a tribal grandmother and five children to reach safety. Because of Tanuin's death, Arithon believes that he owes Glendien a debt of blood, and tries to disentangle himself from Kyrialt's loyalty.
