Third Age 5670: Ranne accompanies Prince Kevor on a mission to protect the countryside from escaped Khadrim. When a troubled Kevor asks for Ranne's opinion on Alliance policy and the persecution of mage talent, Ranne refuses to provide a meaningful response.
Third Age 5671: Ranne and Fennick are saved from a felon's death upon the revelation that Kevor survived the Khadrim attack. After Sulfin Evend's elite captains are killed in the purge of the Kralovir, they are assigned to Lysaer's personal honor guard. They travel with him to Tirans. On Lysaer's order, Ranne sits in the Flocked Starling Inn to arouse curiousity in the ultimatum just delivered to the Mayor of Tirans. From Tirans, they travel with Lysaer to Alestron.
After Lysaer's attack on Keldmar's troops at Alestron, Ranne and Fennick watch over him while he has nightmares of guilt. They are ordered by Sulfin Evend to escort Lysaer back to the command tent after a night spent helping the Koriathain heal the wounded. When Selidie Prime triggers a cursed fit in Lysaer, Ranne and Fennick guard Sulfin Evend's back. The pair use extended drills and maneuvers to prevent troop idleness during Sulfin Evend's errand in Tirans.
An unexpected defense of Shadow triggers the curse in Lysaer, who attacks the darkness with Light from atop a siege tower, guarded by Ranne, Fennick, and his elite guard. Later, Ranne is on duty at the command tent when Sulfin Evend returns to examine Fionn Areth's body, recovered from the sewers.
