Machiel

Machiel is the steward and caithdein in the realm of Havish. He serves King Eldir, and is described as a broad-chested, imposing presence, with a wedged, balding head that once had been blond.

Machiel is the first caithdein to resume his advisor's post to a High King after the capture of the Mistwraith.

Third Age 5670: Machiel is in council with Eldir and other advisors, strategizing in the face of an unnatural extended winter and possible famine. Luhaine reveals that Princess Ellaine may be arriving in search of sanctuary soon.
