Iyan is the deaf and mute servant of Morriel Prime in Fugitive Prince. He replaced Quen, who perished at some point beforehand.

Third Age 5648: Iyan admits Lirenda to Morriel's chamber in Thirdmark on the occasion of Lirenda's first exposure to the power of the Great Waystone. Iyan accompanies Morriel to Althain Tower, as she worries about the Fellowship's impact on other sorceresses. During a tense conversation, Sethvir helps Iyan to restore his lost hearing, much to Morriel's dismay.
