Third Age 5645: Lysaer's retinue travels through East Bransing, on their way to Avenor. The land route is taken instead of crossing the bay, because the retinue is weighted down with the gifts of every town in Rathain.
Third Age 5923: With Arithon on the run in Lanshire, Selidie Prime sends a message through the Koriathain's secretive message relay to coordinate a final trap. The message is received by a high-ranking Senior in Barish, who coordinates with subsequent pigeons to East Bransing, Backwater, and Ostermere. While Lysaer is in Morvain, Selidie orders the Senior Circle in East Bransing to trigger a spelled fetch. Lysaer fully succumbs to the curse and rejoins the cause of the True Sect.
Lysaer forces one of the Light's supply galleys to transport him out of East Bransing. Intelligence from the High Temple of the Light suggests that he may be intent on interrupting The Hatchet's planned eradication of clansmen.
- East Bransing rounds up indigents to be sold to the galleys. Those who shelter under the boardwalks are threatened with extortion by thieves' gangs.
