Dalwyn

Dalwyn is a woman in a Vastmark band of shepherds. She is the aunt of Jilieth and Ghedair, whose mother (her sister) was killed in a rockslide. Dalwyn is described as lanky and agile, with honey-pale hair and brown-amber eyes.

History

After marriage, it was determined through tribal customs that Dalwyn was barren. To prevent bad luck from stalking the shepherds' tribe, she wears bells in her hair which announce her barren state.

Warhost of Vastmark

Third Age 5646: Dalwyn encounters Arithon and Dakar in the mountains while searching for Jilieth and Ghedair. She mentions that Cait had been out searching for the siblings, and escorts them to their tents, where Arithon performs the song of Jilieth's passing for the family. Later, Dalwyn seeks out Arithon and the pair take comfort in each others' presence. When Arithon leaves the shepherd tribes after a month of company, he promises Dalwyn that he will return some day.

Grand Conspiracy

Third Age 5653: A Koriani scrying in the winter shows Dalwyn in Vastmark thinking of Arithon.

Peril's Gate

Third Age 5670: While in Kewar Tunnel, Arithon is visited by Dalwyn's spirit, who eases his passage through the maze.
