Athili is an area of land between Araethura, Lanshire, and West Halla, outside the borders of any High Kingdom. Like all areas on Athera, the exact borders a fluid and shift based on the overall resonance of the planet.

Two Paravian markers identify the southern verge of Athili.

Spoiler warning: Contains plot elements from Initiate's Trial.

Athili is a proscribed area surrounding the grand portal through which Ath Creator first brought the Paravian presence to the world. The landscape exhibits quickened growth and features of all four seasons, due to the potency of the flux here. The mysteries are so strong here that no mortal can cross Athili's border and survive.

At the center is a dimensional rift, unsealed when Ath touched the land. According to Asandir, even Paravians cannot cross the gateway.

Third Age 5923: Asandir must depart the kingdom of Havish before Arithon makes landfall to uphold his vow of non-interference. He chooses to travel to Athili rather than engage the focus circle at Fiaduwynne, in spite of the risks to his horse.

Esfand, Khadrien, and Siantra are pursued close to Athili by headhunters as they try to seek out Arithon. Out of options, Siantra draws Alithiel and causes the borders of Athili to shift around them. Asandir answers Alithiel's call and protects the children from being consumed by Athili. After sending the children on to Fiaduwynne, Asandir uses Ath Creator's portal to travel elsewhere.
