The Lady

The Lady is an older, unnamed woman who lives off of Spinster's Alley in Jaelot. She is tiny with a graceful air of self-command, although she is deformed by fire damage -- blind with a scarred face and a high voice caused by fire inhalation, and pink stumps for fingers.

The Lady has a servant named Jasque and is a friend of the Fellowship.

The Lady showed talent at an early age and the Koriathain sought her as an initiate. After the Fellowship enforced her right to stay free, a spurious charge of dark magecraft saw her burned and deformed. Since then, she has lived in her sister's house. Blind, scarred, and talented, she gradually became acquainted with the stones that formed the foundation of the house.

She gives Arithon a wakened quartz sphere to protect him during his errands.
