Jeriayish is a young sunwheel priest under High Priest of the Light Cerebeld. He is stick-thin and has an effeminate, tenor voice, bony hands, and a cleft chin. Over his floor-length robe, he wears a six-strand chain of rank, which is the highest rank beneath the High Priest of the Light.
Jeriayish also has a Light-sanctioned talent for augury, denoted by a gold sigil at the crown of his hood.

|Spoiler warning: Contains plot elements from multiple books in the series.|
- Jeriayish is with Lysaer when Arithon returns to the continent in Third Age 5669. When portents fill the sky, Lysaer is unsure whether to return to Avenor or push on to Daenfal, and Jeriayish offers him a way to find out where Arithon truly is.
- Jeriayish accompanies Lysaer to Narms, where he performs the blood ritual that reveals Arithon's location in Rathain.
- Jeriayish attempts to perform the blood ritual just after Lysaer learns of Kevor's death. Angered, Lysaer reveals that he is close enough to sense Arithon's presence without the ritual and orders his army to mobilize.
- Jeriayish is scrying for Arithon when Braggen disrupts the spelled protections of Arithon's ritual. This exposes the priest to the grand chord of Alithiel and he awakens dazed and weeping. He confesses that the experience has unbound his oath to the Light. Jeriayish remains incoherent even after Lysaer orders him bound and silenced. Later, his heart stops with no outside interference.
